Varajet II to Weber 32-34 DMTL carburetor conversion Kit for a 1982 - 1988 Opel Rekord 1.8S.
When you are the happy owner of such a 1982 - 1988 1.796cc Opel Rekord 1.8 S, with either a manual or automatic transmission, and that this equipped with a Varajet II carburetter, then you are probably also aware of the fact that those Varajet carburettors are coming to the end of their life and that the parts supply, apart from the most basic gaskets and needle valves, is rather dramatic.
The consequence of this "wear & tear" is of course that the engine is running erratically and that the fuel consumption is increasing beyond acceptable levels.
Luckily, Weber has tackled this situation and crafted this conversion kit, using a brand new Weber 32-34 DMTL carburetor with manual choke (cable included).
As you can see in the photographs, this conversion kit consists of the carburettor, an adapter to fit the Weber to the original inlet manifold, an adapter to fit the original Varajet airfilter to the Weber and all other required parts to complete the conversion.
Please note that it is jetted for the 1.796cc 1.8 S version.
The various jets to fine-tune this carburetor to your personal taste and the displacement / power output of your engine, can be found on the Weber DMTL page.

The carburetor is manufactured by Weber themselves in Spain while the remaining parts that compile this kit are produced in the UK.
