This is a brand new Weber 38 DGMS carburetor.

It is an authentic Weber, Made in Spain.

This is a twin-choke 38mm carburetor.

This means that it has 2 throttle valves of 38 mm in diameter which are operated simultaneously.

These carburetors are often used on Ford's 3-liter V6 engines as used on the Capri, Granada and Scorpio models of between 1974 and 1982 but can of course be used on a variety of other engines.

Being a 38 DGMS it is equipped with a Manually operated choke (cold-start) mechanism which requires a "positive action" cable operation so the cable is used to pull the choke into action and to push it out of action.

This carburetor is also equipped with a fuel return line.

The bolt pattern of the base is 93 x 46 mm:

The chokes are, logically, 38mm each.

The height from the bottom of the base to the airfilter flange is some 85 mm while the total height is 111 mm.
