Factory-Original, "plastic", SU "Stay-Up"-type float with gasket for a SU HIF 4 carburetor.

As shown in the pictures, this float is being supplied with the gasket for the float chamber cover, the inlet manifold gasket as well as the air filter gasket (Numbers 12, 13 and 44 in the drawing).

Most somewhat-older Parts Catalogs will list the float for the SU HIF4, HIF6 and HIF7 series as part number WZX 1509 or LZX 1601.
These older floats were white, hollow, plastic floats that weren't very well resistant to aggressive modern fuels and would frequently spring leaks.

The production of those old floats has been stopped and it has been replaced by this, adjustable, unsinkable solid foam version, AUE 896, that you find on this page.

It is important to note that the HIF floats are "handed" and this particular one is a "Left Hand" or "LH" version.
It is NOT interchangeable with a RH version which you can find HERE.

This float fits the following SU carburetor models:

• SU HIF 4 carburetors
• SU HIF 6 carburetors
• SU HIF 7 carburetors

This product is priced, and sold, as a single unit.
