This is a Weber DGAV Conversion Kit for a 1982 - 1990 VW Transporter 1900 Waterboxer.

The original throttle linkage is re-routed to hook up to the Weber, a manifold adapter is included to accomodate the new carburetor and even a brandnew "Lunchbox" type airfilter is included

This is a novelty for Europe but let's start with the bad news:
The 1982 - 1990 VW Transporter with its famous water-cooled 1913cc Boxer engine (nicknamed the "Waterboxer") was originally equipped with a Pierburg 2E3 carburettor.

With the youngest Transporters now some 32 years old and the oldest even reaching 40 years of age, the Pierburg carburettors are reaching the end of their working life.
This is not only through wear & tear but also because Pierburg stopped producing these carbs and relevant spare parts already in the mid 1990's so existing parts stock have dried up by now.

Add to that that the Pierburg 2E3 wasn't built to last 4 decades and chances are that you are a "somewhat less than satisfied" Waterboxer owner as a worn carburettor can make the car almost impossible to drive.

But now the good news!

As of today, we can offer a conversion kit which will do away with your old Pierburg and replace it with a brand-new Weber DGAV !

The Conversion Kit comes with a newly produced genuine Weber DGAV carburettor and all the parts that you need to install it on your original Waterboxer inlet manifold.

The jetting of the carburettor is tuned to the needs of your 1913cc Waterboxer.

The original throttle linkage is re-routed to hook up to the Weber, a manifold adapter is included to accommodate the new carburetor and even a brand-new, oval, "Lunch-box" type airfilter is included.

This following photograph shows the carburetor "in situ" on the manifold but please note that the manifold is NOT included in this kit and also note that the airfilter is of slightly different shape:
